Booking an Appointment

Appointments can be made in the following ways:

Routine Appointments

The majority of our appointments need to be pre-booked and this can be done on-line/telephone or walkin at reception.

If you wish to book a routine appointment by telephone please ring 0116 2782028 Option 1. You can book on the day and book ahead for all routine appointments.

Urgent Appointments

Urgent appointment can be booked on the day by phoning 0116 2782028 Option 1 or by booking in person at reception. You can also request a call back from the Duty Doctor for advice.

 Emergency Appointments

We have a Duty Doctor daily for emergencies, please phone 0116 2783456 for emergencies only.

Telephone Appointments

If you feel that you problem does not require a face to face appointment and can be dealt with over the phone then please ask the receptionist for a telephone consultation.

Additional Early or Late Appointments

You have the option of booking appointments outside the core hours of 8 am to 6.30 pm e.g. before 8 and after 6.30 so ask the receptionist for the next available slot if that is what you require.

Home Visits

Please phone before 10.30am if you require a home visit . Please note this is for housebound patients only.

If, before your appointment, you no longer need to see the doctor, then please ring the practice to let us know. We will then be able to offer your slot to another patient. Telephone number 0116 2783664 (available 24/7).

For Your Information

If you think that your consultation is likely to take longer than 10 minutes, please tell the receptionist and she will try and book extra time.

Appointments should be for one patient at a time only. Please make separate appointments if other members of your family need to be seen as well.

All patients are entitled to have a chaperone present for any consultation, examination or procedure where they feel one is required. This chaperone may be a family member or friend. On occasions you may prefer a formal chaperone to be present, i.e. a trained member of staff. Please ask the doctor so this can be arranged.

You must speak to reception to obtain your registration details. Once you are registered and have your login details and password you may access the secure website by going to the ON-LINE Services tab and follow the instructions.
